Mr. Nhin’s family has been staying with the forest for a long time. He knows every tree in the forest. As he loves this forest, he determined to stop cutting down them and plant Dang Shen in order to sooth the concernment of the God of Forest – about Co Tu people.

“There are many types of ginseng here but this kind suits the soil here so it grows so fast. Back in the days, growing potato or cassava only brought back about 1 to 2 million dong per year... Hopefully, the project go well so that our farmers are more confident going upland.”

Mr. Nhich’s family is a family with a tradition of growing Dang Shen for many years at the peak of the wind mountain at the end of the border - Ch'om wind mountain. Although it is really windy here, Dang Shen is easy to live, so his family life has been less strenuous...

Ms. Ech's family has just turned to Dang Shen farming in the hope of changing the poverty that is deeply rooted in people in the mountainous areas. Since having Dang Shen, her family has become fuller, not having to manage through the day that often. She told us excitedly.
